This is the Komon Kimono, but I changed things here and there. Mostly by taking some length out of the sleeves (which are still on the long side), expanding the width of the body by a few inches so the fronts could overlap, and then using an interesting crocheted ribbing that is crocheted right onto the sweater. The original pattern called for making the ribbing separately, then sewing it on. I've had bad results with this method. ;-) The yarn is Plymouth Encore, and while it's economical and can be machine washed, it's not a luxury yarn by any means. In the future I'd save it for small projects, or things that need to be washable such as children's sweaters or afghans.

This shawl came out...interesting. It's the Wild Ride Shawl: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/delisi/wild-ride I love the yarn--Filatura Di Crosa Gioiello--and would work with it again with no problem. The pattern photo looked interesting with dropped stitches. When I reached the place to do the drops, though, I felt it wasn't deep enough, so I added some rows. Tried the dropped stitches then, but they just didn't look right, so I crocheted 'em back up and left it as is.
This is a shawl I did a test knit of for the designer, the Fuyugaki shawl: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/delisi/fuyugaki The pattern stitch is gorgeous, really has depth to it, and the yarn--Classic Elite Magnolia--was a pleasure to work with and has become a favorite yarn. So naturally, the shawl is lovely!
